FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS — The Society of Professional Motorsports Journalists (SPMJ) is proud to announce a milestone in our organization’s history: the official release of our first-ever physical membership cards.

Designed by MAP Studio, these cards represent a new chapter in providing our members with tangible, professional credentials that reflect their standing in the industry.

Honoring Our Roots: Charter vs. Standard Editions

In recognition of those who helped build our foundation, SPMJ is releasing two distinct versions of the inaugural card:

  • Charter Member Edition: This exclusive card is reserved for the "Class of 2025"—those dedicated professionals who joined the society during our first year of operation. It serves as a permanent mark of distinction for our founding members.

  • Standard Member Edition: A sleek, professional credential issued to all members who have joined our ranks following our inaugural year, symbolizing their active role in the future of motorsports media.

Professionalism in Hand

The first wave of cards is officially heading to our members! This rollout marks the transition to a more robust credentialing system for our community of journalists, photographers, and broadcasters.

  • Physical Credentials: All active members will now receive their designated professional membership card, identifying them as part of the SPMJ network.

  • Annual Validation: To ensure credentials remain current, validation decals (pictured above) will be issued and mailed annually upon each member's renewal date.

Joining the Society

As we continue to elevate the standards of motorsports journalism, these cards serve as a symbol of our collective commitment to excellence. While the "Charter" window has closed, there has never been a better time for professionals in the field to secure their credentials and join our growing community.

About SPMJ: The Society of Professional Motorsports Journalists is dedicated to supporting the men and women who cover the world of racing, providing resources, networking, and professional recognition.
