The AP Exit

Fryer didn't get pushed out — she made a calculated decision. After being told the AP wanted to pull back on specialized motorsports coverage and fold her into broader sports work, with no clear vision from new leadership on what her role would look like, she took a voluntary buyout and walked. Her travel expenses alone last year equaled a starting salary. The AP's math wasn't hard to follow, and neither was hers.
