The Society of Professional Motorsports Journalists is proud to announce our inaugural year of competition. For 2026, we are offering cash prizes to recognize excellence across three core media disciplines.​

 

THE PRIZES

In each of our three categories, a $500 cash prize will be awarded to the winner.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES

​

• Writer of the Year: Recognizing outstanding articles written in the field of motorsports and published for public consumption in print or digital formats.

​

• ​Photographer of the Year: Honoring visual storytellers who capture the essence of racing. Entries must include proof of when and where the imagery was captured.

​

• ​On-Air Presenter of the Year: Celebrating excellence in broadcast journalism, including television, radio, and podcasting.
